How to make it

  • Heat grill on high.
  • Mix water, salt, and garlic. Add chicken thighs, place in the refrigerator and soak for at least 1 hour and up to 16 hours.
  • Mix rub ingredients.
  • Mix mayo, 3 tablespoons rub, ½ cup orange juice. Add chicken thighs and marinate for 30 minutes
  • Remove from marinade and season with salt and pepper
  • Place chicken on grill skin side down first
  • Cook for approximately 7 minutes a side with the lid closed or until a thermometer reads 165 degrees
