Ingredients

How to make it

  • Heat about 2 cups of oil in a deep skillet, or do like us and use your deep fryer. Make sure it is hot enough by dropping a few bits of flour into the oil. If it sizzles without smoking it is ready!
  • Mix all dry ingredients together.
  • Then mix egg and milk together in a different bowl.
  • Slowly add the dry to the wet and beat well to prevent lumps.
  • Beat until smooth.
  • You can use a funnel and pour a 1/2 cup or so at a time into the oil, making circular motions while doing it.
  • Or you can put it into an old ketchup bottle saved for just this moment and squirt the amount of liquid dough you want into the oil in circular designs/motion.
  • Cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until a nice golden brown.
  • Remove from oil, sprinkle quickly with powdered sugar!
  • When cool enough to tear apart with your fingers eat and enjoy!
