Slow Cooker French Dip Roast

- 1 baguette shopping list
- 1/4 cup canola oil shopping list
- 1 3 lb,boneless Chuck Roast shopping list
- 1 can beef broth shopping list
- 1 can water shopping list
- 1 bottle of a good dark beer like Shiner shopping list
- 3 cloves of garlic, chopped fine shopping list
- 1 T Worcestershire Sauce shopping list
- 1 T Soy Sauce shopping list
- Salt pepper and thyme shopping list
- 12 thin slices of Provolone cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Season the meat with Salt and Pepper.
- Heat the oil in a deep Dutch Oven
- Add the seasoned beef and braise until a deep golden color
- Place Beef broth, water, Beer & Worcestershire Sauce in the slow cooker.
- Add the garlic, onions and thyme.
- Place the braised Beef into the slow cooker and add the onions on top.
- Cook on High for 6 - 8 hours until tender.
- Take the beef out of the slow cooker
- Allow to cool and slice moderately thin
- Skim the fat from the broth
- Preheat the oven to 350ยบ
- Cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil
- Slice the baguette into 4 - 6 pieces then slice in half, lengthwise
- Place two pieces of cheese on each baguette
- Add two slices of beef plus some of the onions, to each
- Place the top of the baguette on top
- Bake in oven for approximately 5 minutes
- Serve with 1 cup of broth in ramekins for dipping
