How to make it

  • Cut bread using biscuit cutter or bottom of glass
  • Brush both sides of bread rounds with 2 tablespoons melted butter and brown in skillet until lightly browned on each side( about 30 to 40 seconds per side) set bread onto serving plates or a serving tray
  • Add 1 tablespoon butter to skillet and heat on med high heat
  • Add ham and cook until brown on each side( it only takes a minute or two per side)
  • Remove ham and place one serving onto each round( you may need to fold ham if too large)
  • Add a drizzle of olive oil plus 1 tablespoon butter to skillet and heat on med high
  • Add asparagus and cook until just tender( about 2-3 minutes) season with salt and pepper
  • Place a few asparagus on top of each ham toast
  • Place remains tablespoon of butter in small saucepan and melt over med heat
  • Stir in garlic and herb spice and heavy cream and allow to cook a minute or two
  • Add smoked Gouda and stir until melted
  • Remove from heat and drizzle each toast round with cream sauce
  • Enjoy!
