How to make it
- Start the noodles or rice. Cook according to package directions. When ready set aside. Remember drain noodles and rise with warm water, if not ready to use them right away.
- While cooking your carbs, go ahead and start on the meat sauce.
- Brown ground protein and onions together.
- Add garlic, seasoning, bell pepper, mushrooms, and any other type of veggies you might want to add to this. I am a big veggie adding person, I love the colors and flavors intermixing!
- Drain your protein or not as you prefer. I drained off most of grease off, I did not rinse the meat with water like some do.
- Add the sloppy joe mix, diced tomatoes, and the beans, I used black beans as they are my favorite.
- In a large bowl mix the meat sauce and noodles.
- Serve with or with out grated cheese.
- Garlic bread would be a great side with this!
- Enjoy!
