How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 180C
  • Mash bananas in a large mixing bowl - you want them to be almost a paste when you finish
  • Chop dates into small pieces (4-6 per date, depending on size)
  • Add dates and all other ingredients to the mashed bananas
  • Turn the mixture into a lined (baking paper) or greased 9" 9" baking tray
  • Bake for 25-35 minutes depending on desired consistency - less gives you a chewier snack bar.
  • When done, cool on a rack. Halve the resulting cake, and then slice each half into five. The slices should be around 100-110 calories each if you're watching your intake.
  • Enjoy.
