- 2 # Ground beef shopping list
- 1/2 cup Dehydrated onion. (Dehydrated is better than using fresh for this recipe.) shopping list
- 1/2 cup Italian style Progresso bread crumbs shopping list
- 3 slices white bread - cubed and dried* shopping list
- 1/3 cup catsup mixed into loaf + more after loaf is made. shopping list
- 2.5 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1/4 cup dried Milk shopping list
- 1 Jumbo Egg or 2 "large" shopping list
- 1/2 tsp Poultry Seasoning shopping list
- 1/2 tsp Granulated garlic shopping list
- 1/2 + tsp black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375
- Line 9" x 5" loaf pan with foil for easy cleanup
- Place all of the wet ingredients into a bowl
- Mix well using hands
- Place all of the dry ingredients in
- Mix well using hands then form into a loaf
- Press loaf into pan
- Make 3/4" sloped dent in middle to help cook evenly
- Coat top of loaf with a generous layer of catsup
- Bake 50 minutes or until loaf pulls away from sides of pan. Cook longer if you prefer it drier.
- Serve with mashed potatoes and peas.
- * Drying bread cubes:
- Place bread cubes on paper plate and arrange into a donut shape then microwave 90 seconds, stir then 60 seconds until dry. Bread cubes in the middle of the plate will quickly burn so keep the center of the plate clear.
