How to make it

  • Cook pasta according to package , drain and set aside
  • In a large skillet or saucepan, sauté onions and bell pepper for 2-3 minutes in butter.
  • Add minced garlic and spices, tomatoes and asparagus, continue to cook over med heat for another two to three minutes.
  • Stir in chicken and olives, whipping cream, soup, half and half, and basil. Lower heat to low medium and Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Place sauce in large casserole dish, add pasta and toss well.
  • Season( taste for seasoning) if desired with salt and pepper and sprinkle top with cheddar cheese
  • bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  • Tips:
  • *you can also top with a few pieces of crumbled crisp bacon before baking
  • * sauce is also good over rice , roasted or mashed potatoes, grits or even toast ( like chopped beef )
  • * * omit chicken and use sauce as a garnish over roasted chicken or even fried chicken, beef or pork patties
