- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups Sifted self raising flour shopping list
- 2 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla shopping list
- caramel syrup shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 Cups boiling water shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
How to make it
- Caramel Syrup
- Caramelise 1/2-cup sugar in a heavy skillet over low heat by melting and browning to a light golden shade.
- Add remaining sugar, salt and butter, and then bring to a boil.
- Dumplings
- Sift together sugar, flour and baking powder.
- Cut in butter with blender or fork.
- Add milk and vanilla and stir only until mixed.
- Drop by spoonfuls into boiling syrup.
- Cover and cook over low heat for 12 minutes.
- Serve Hot, with Ice Cream & Whipped Cream.
