- 1 1/3 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 3/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 5 1/3 Tbsp unsalted butter shopping list
- 2/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten shopping list
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2) shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch (6 cup) loaf pan.
- Whisk together thoroughly: flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder.
- In large bowl, beat on high speed until light in color and texture (2-3 mins): butter and sugar.
- Beat in the flour mixture until blended (consistency of brown sugar).
- Gradually beat in: 2 large eggs, lightly beaten.
- Fold in until just combined: mashed bananas and nuts.
- Scrape batter into pan and spread evenly. Bake for 50-60 mins (until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean). Let cool in the pan on a rack for 5-10 mins before unmolding to cool completely on rack.
