Homemade Fried Mozzarella Sticks

- 2 - large - packages - 16-ounces - mozzarella sticks, cut in half shopping list
- 4 extra-large eggs, slightly beaten, more if needed shopping list
- 1½ cups dry Italian breadcrumbs shopping list
- 1 teaspoon pink himalayan salt shopping list
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese shopping list
- 1½ cups of vegetable oil shopping list
- ~ ~ ~ shopping list
- ⅓ Cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, as a garnish shopping list
How to make it
- 1: Cut mozzarella sticks in half.
- 2: Combined the bread crumbs, cup Parmesan cheese, and salt in a big mixing dish.
- 3: In a large soup cup, beat the eggs. Dip and cover the cheese sticks entirely. Allowing the excess egg to drip back into the cup.
- 4: Coat the cheese fully in the breadcrumb mixture. Pressing it into the mixture to make it stick.
- 5: Dip the cheese sticks in the egg and breadcrumb mixtures a second time to coat them very well.
- 6: Place the cheese sticks on a baking sheet, covered with plastic wrap or aluminum foil, freeze for 2 hours.
- 7: In a big skillet, heat the oil over medium heat, fry the cheese until golden brown, around 1 minute per side. Test the oils readiness by sprinkling a few drops of water in it, if it sizzles and evaporates, it's ready.
- 8: Place the fried cheese on a platter and served with the garnish cheese sprinkled on top.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauces.
