How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Grease the interior of a 9 inch x 13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, add cake ingredients.
  • Mix with a whisk until batter is smooth.
  • Pour cake batter into prepared cake pan.
  • Bake for about 30 minutes or until cake is done.

  • Notes: The applesauce cake will not work with chocolate cake mix because the batter will be too dry.
  • The chocolate coke cake works best with chocolate cake mix. Other cake mixes come out too sweet with the soda.
