Lower Fat French Toast

- 1/4 cup egg substitute shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups skim milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract shopping list
- peanut oil as needed shopping list
- 8 slices bread slightly stale shopping list
How to make it
- Whisk together well egg substitute, milk, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla.
- Heat a well greased griddle or large frying pan with peanut oil until hot but not smoking.
- Soak bread slices in egg mixture until moistened then place soaked slices on griddle. Discard any excess egg mixture.
- When bottoms are golden brown flip with a spatula and brown the other side.
- Keep in a warm oven until ready to serve.
