How to make it

  • String the beans and cut into 1" pieces. Fry out bacon until crisp, drain and reserve.
  • Sauté onions in bacon fat until translucent, not brown.
  • Add the beans, tomatoes, seasonings and water and cook until the beans are tender, 30 to 40 minutes.
