How to make it

  • Microwave cabbage leaves until leaves are limp. Peal apart and lay out to cool a bit.
  • Mix beef, rice, onion, salt, pepper, and minced garlic in a small bowl
  • Place a good 1/4-1/3 cup meat mixture into cabage leaves and roll into a tight bundle. Cut larger center vein out of leaves if needed to easily roll.
  • Place rolls seam-side down into 9x13 pan.
  • Stack if needed.
  • Place cloves over rolls and pour lemon juice over rolls and cover tightly.
  • Bake in oven at 350 degrees 1 houror until ground beef is done.
  • Enjoy!

    this looks really good 'cause it doesn't have any tomato sauce! I have a similar recipe and it calls for a little cinnamon in with the beef!
