How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Reserve 3/4 cup apple filling then spoon remaining filling into crust.
  • Beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until smooth then add eggs and beat well.
  • Pour over apple filling and bake for 35 minutes then cool.
  • In small saucepan mix reserved apple pie filling and caramel topping sauce.
  • Heat at low temperature for 1 minute.
  • Remove apple slices from pan leaving sauce behind.
  • Arrange apple slices on top of cheese cake.
  • Spoon caramel sauce onto top of cheese cake and spread evenly.
  • Decorate with pecan halves around edge.
  • Sprinkle with chopped pecans and refrigerate before serving.
