Sweet-tooth Satisfying Marshmallow Bites

- 2-6 ounce or 1-12 ounce package of butterscotch morsels (2 cups) shopping list
- 2-6 ounce or 1-12 ounce package of semi-sweet chocolate morsels (2 cups) shopping list
- 2 tablespoons shortening shopping list
- 1 cup chopped nuts; walnuts, pecans, macadamia shopping list
- 2 cups miniature marshmallows shopping list
How to make it
- In a double boiler, melt butterscotch morsels and 1 tablespoon of shortening.
- Stir in nuts.
- Spread onto an ungreased 9-inch square pan.
- Cover with an even layer of mini marshmallows.
- Gently press into the surface.
- In a double boiler, melt semi-sweet chocolate morsels and remaining shortening.
- Spread evenly over the marshmallow layer.
- If desired, top with additional chopped nuts.
- Cool until firm.
- Cut into squares.
- Makes 2 pounds of candy.

My aunts made this growing up, only they didn't use chocolate, only butterscotch. (Of course, the chocolate can only make it better!) They called it Canadian Candy, I have no idea why. Thanks for posting!
