Sweet-tooth Satisfying Marshmallow Bites Recipe
2 full pounds of yummy bliss!!! Buttescotch and chocolate...so sweet it'll make your sweet-tooth ache just making it!

Ingredients
  • 2-6 ounce or 1-12 ounce package of butterscotch morsels (2 cups)
  • 2-6 ounce or 1-12 ounce package of semi-sweet chocolate morsels (2 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 1 cup chopped nuts; walnuts, pecans, macadamia
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows

Directions
  1. In a double boiler, melt butterscotch morsels and 1 tablespoon of shortening.
  2. Stir in nuts.
  3. Spread onto an ungreased 9-inch square pan.
  4. Cover with an even layer of mini marshmallows.
  5. Gently press into the surface.
  6. In a double boiler, melt semi-sweet chocolate morsels and remaining shortening.
  7. Spread evenly over the marshmallow layer.
  8. If desired, top with additional chopped nuts.
  9. Cool until firm.
  10. Cut into squares.
  11. Makes 2 pounds of candy.

My aunts made this growing up, only they didn't use chocolate, only butterscotch. (Of course, the chocolate can only make it better!) They called it Canadian Candy, I have no idea why. Thanks for posting!
