Sweet-tooth Satisfying Marshmallow Bites Recipe

Ingredients

2-6 ounce or 1-12 ounce package of butterscotch morsels (2 cups)

2-6 ounce or 1-12 ounce package of semi-sweet chocolate morsels (2 cups)

2 tablespoons shortening

1 cup chopped nuts; walnuts, pecans, macadamia

2 cups miniature marshmallows

Directions

In a double boiler, melt butterscotch morsels and 1 tablespoon of shortening.

Stir in nuts.

Spread onto an ungreased 9-inch square pan.

Cover with an even layer of mini marshmallows.

Gently press into the surface.

In a double boiler, melt semi-sweet chocolate morsels and remaining shortening.

Spread evenly over the marshmallow layer.

If desired, top with additional chopped nuts.

Cool until firm.

Cut into squares.

Makes 2 pounds of candy.

My aunts made this growing up, only they didn't use chocolate, only butterscotch. (Of course, the chocolate can only make it better!) They called it Canadian Candy, I have no idea why. Thanks for posting!
