Cheesy Ham Chowder

- 10 diced slices bacon shopping list
- 2 c. of chopped cooked ham shopping list
- 2 1/2 c. of cubed potatoes shopping list
- 1 chopped large onion shopping list
- 1 (15 oz) can of corn, drained shopping list
- 2 tsp of chicken bouillon shopping list
- 3 c. of shredded cheddar cheese shopping list
- 1 c. of diced carrots shopping list
- 3 tbsp. of flour shopping list
- 3 c. of milk shopping list
- 1 1/2 c. of water shopping list
- pepper shopping list
How to make it
- First you want to take a large soup kettle and then cook bacon over medium flame until crisp.
- Drain it.
- Then take the leftover drippings, and saute onion and carrots until tender.
- Now whisk in flour until blended.
- Slowly add the milk and water.
- This should come to a boil.
- Now you want to cook this and stir for approx. 2 minutes as it thickened.
- then add in the potatoes, corn, bouillon and pepper.
- Then should reduce flame to low and cook uncovered for approx. 20 minutes or until potatoes are soft.
- Now add cheese and ham, letting cheese melt.
- Add bacon.
- Serve.
