How to make it

  • First you want to take a large soup kettle and then cook bacon over medium flame until crisp.
  • Drain it.
  • Then take the leftover drippings, and saute onion and carrots until tender.
  • Now whisk in flour until blended.
  • Slowly add the milk and water.
  • This should come to a boil.
  • Now you want to cook this and stir for approx. 2 minutes as it thickened.
  • then add in the potatoes, corn, bouillon and pepper.
  • Then should reduce flame to low and cook uncovered for approx. 20 minutes or until potatoes are soft.
  • Now add cheese and ham, letting cheese melt.
  • Add bacon.
  • Serve.
