Creamy Broccoli Cheese Soup Recipe
This soup takes no time at all and makes a nice lunch or supper. It is wonderful with homemade french bread.

Ingredients
  • 2 cans cream of broccoli soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 8 oz jar Cheez whiz
  • 2 cups of fresh broccoli
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder
  • freshly ground pepper

Directions
  1. Wash and trim broccoli then cut into bitesize pieces
  2. Steam broccoli until tender-crisp (I do this in the microwave. Put the broccoli and 1/2 cup water in a microwave safe bowl and cover with plastic wrap. I microwave mine on high for 5 minutes. Let it set for 2 minutes before you take off the plastic wrap. Be careful when you take off the plastic wrap so that you don't get a steam burn!)
  3. I a large pot combine the soups, evaporated milk and cheese
  4. With the heat on low bring this to a gentle simmer. Stir often to prevent scorching. You may need to use a whisk to help break up the cheese.
  5. Add the steamed broccoli and simmer gently for 15 minutes
  6. Season with onion powder, garlic powder and pepper.
