Ingredients

1 pint carefully sorted blackberries

1/3 cup kirsch

1-1/2 cups heavy cream

1/4 cup powdered sugar

Directions

Marinate berries in kirsch and chill.

Beat cream stiff gradually adding sugar.

Mix lightly with the berries then chill thoroughly and serve in tall thin glasses.

Kirsch, also known as Kirschwasser, is a fiery clear cherry brandy used in both savory and sweet cooking.
