Broccoli Pomodoro

- 1 tablespoon olive oil shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped shopping list
- 2 cups fresh or canned diced tomatoes shopping list
- 3 tbsp red wine shopping list
- 1 tbsp dried basil shopping list
- 2 tsp oregano shopping list
- 1 pound broccoli florets shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic, and cook for a few minutes, stirring constantly.
- Pour in the tomatoes with their juices and wine, and simmer until the liquid has reduced by about ½.
- Place the broccoli on top of the tomatoes, and season with a little salt and pepper.
- Cover, and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender and bright green.
- Toss to blend well before serving.
