Fish Tacos With Fruity Salsa

- Cook time does not include time needed to marinate the fish shopping list
- for the fish shopping list
- 1 lb orange roughy filets shopping list
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice shopping list
- 1 teaspoon chili powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon olive oil shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves shopping list
- 6 tortillas corn or flour your preference shopping list
- shredded lettuce shopping list
- for the salsa shopping list
- 1 20 oz can crushed pineapple drained well shopping list
- 1/4 cup diced red onion (more if you like I use 1/2 cup) shopping list
- 1 to 2 tablespoons diced jalapeno peppers shopping list
- 3 tablespoons lemon or lime juice shopping list
How to make it
- For the fish
- combine the lemon juice, chili powder, oil, garlic and spices in a small bowl .
- rub fish with spice mixture cover and refrigerate 30 minutes
- prepare grill for grilling
- grill fish over meduim high heat covered for 5 minutes or until fish is lightly browned on the bottom
- turn and grill 3 to 5 additional minutes or until fish begins to flake easily with a fork
- remove from grill and cover to keep warm
- place tortillas on grill and heat until soft turning once
- stack and cover to keep warm
- top each tortilla with lettuce then fish and about 2 tablespoons of the salsa.
- For the Salsa prepare while fish is in refrigerator as it is served at room tempature
- combine all ingredients for salsa in small bowl let marinate while preparing fish serve at room temperature.
