How to make it

  • Saute onions in 1 Tablespoon butter until tender.
  • Add soup and cheese and continue cooking until cheese is melted and remove from heat.
  • Mix in sour cream.
  • Place thawed hashbrowns in a 9x13 baking dish and cover with soup mixture.
  • Top with cornflakes and little pats of remaining butter.
  • Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 45 min.
