How to make it
- Cook the tomatoes with the onion, parsley, sugar, and salt for twenty minutes.
- Mix in the soda and stir well; the soda prevents the milk from curdling.
- Roux the flour and butter in a separate pan.
- Add the milk to the roux, reduce to make a simple white sauce.
- Add the vegetables to the white sauce, and warm to serve.
