These cookies turn out perfectly round and crackled on top. Don't use chunky pb as it makes them not as "crackly".

Ingredients
  • 3/4 c butter
  • 3/4 c brown sugar
  • 3/4 c white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 c peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 3/4 c flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • additional white sugar for rolling

Directions
  1. Cream butter and both sugars.
  2. Stir in egg, peanut butter and vanilla.
  3. Combine dry ingredients then add to sugar mixture. Stir to form soft dough.
  4. Roll into 1 inch balls then roll in sugar.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  6. Makes about 5 dozen.
