Ingredients
  • 550ml flour
  • 350ml sugar
  • 20ml baking powder
  • 60ml cocoa
  • 1ml salt
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 275ml oil
  • 5ml vanilla essence
  • 275ml boiling water
  • 4 egg whites

Directions
  1. preheat oven to 180C
  2. grease and line 2 200mm cake tins with wax paper
  3. sift dry ingredients together in 2 l bowl
  4. shake egg yolks, oil and vanilla well together
  5. add to dry ingredients with boiling water. Mix well
  6. whip egg whites until stiff with electric beater
  7. fold into mixture with paddle scraper
  8. pour batter into prepared tins
  9. bake 25-30min
