Benne Sesame Brittle Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups sugar

3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon lemon extract

2 cups poached benne seeds or sesame seeds

Directions

In a saucepan, melt sugar, stirring constantly.

When sugar is melted, remove from heat and add benne seeds stirring quickly.

Pour into lightly buttered pan(s) or onto marble slab to cool.

Mark 1-inch squares while still warm.
