Apple Fritters Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup flour

2TB sugar

1/8 tsp salt

1/2 cup fat-free egg substitute, or just use egg whites

1/4 cup fat free milk

1 tsp vanilla

2 large apples ( peeled, cored and coarsely grated) I use any apple in season.

Top with powdered sugar, and butter

Directions

In a large bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar and salt, mix well. Whisk in egg substitue, milk and extract; stir in apples.

Melt margarine in a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Drop apple mixture into pan, making 8 even fritters. Cook until golden brown, about 2-3 min per side.

Sift powdered sugar over top of fritters just before serving.

2 Fritters per serving.
