I foud this recipe in a used book I bought. I was a printout dated 1989 from Anthony's Food Store. Trust me, this cake is SWEET.

Ingredients
  • 2 c flour
  • 2 c sugar
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 3/4 c oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 c grated carrots

Directions
  1. Add all ingredients (except frosting) in a large bowl and beat for 4 minutes
  2. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan
  3. Bake for 40 minutes at 350
  4. Since it's a carrot cake, your guests will likely expect frosting
