How to make it

  • For crust: In bowl combine flour and sugar.
  • Cut in butter with pastry knife until crumbly.
  • Press into ungreased 9x9 baking pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 15 min.
  • For filling:
  • In bowl mix butter and eggs, blend in sugar, flour, baking powder, vanilla and salt.
  • Stir in raisins then pour over base.
  • Bake in 350 degree oven for about 20-25 minutes.
  • Cool completely before cutting into squares.

    I've been collecting butter tart recipes all day and low and behold...this! I love the fact that it can be made in a baking pan as opposed to individual tart or muffin tins!! I'm sooo anxious to try this now! Thank You!!
