This is a really easy caramel sauce that is delicious on anything! It has a wonderful consistancy. Our family is crazy about this sauce over ice cream!

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 16 large marshmallows
  • 1/8 cup light corn syrup
  • dash of salt
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla

Directions
  1. Melt butter in a sauce pan over medium heat.
  2. Stir in sugar, marshmallows, corn syrup and salt.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then lower heat and continue to boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and cool for 5 minutes. (Very important step!)
  5. Stir in evaporated milk and vanilla.
  6. Store leftover sauce in the fridge.
