Love It Up X Mas Eggnog Recipe

Ingredients

3 eggs, separated (reserve whites)

3/4 c. sugar

1/4 tsp. salt

3 c. milk

1 c. heavy cream

1 T. sherry extract

Nutmeg, grated or ground

Directions

Beat egg yolks

Gradually add 1/2 of sugar and all the salt, beating constantly

Gradually add milk first then the cream

Cook over hot water, using a double boiler, until mixture coats spoon

Remove from heat and cool

Add sherry extract ; chill approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hours

Beat egg whites until stiff while gradually adding remaining sugar

Continue beating until stiff peaks form

Fold into chilled custard

When ready to serve, pour into a chilled punch bowl, sprinkle with nutmeg

Nothing to do now but "LOVE IT UP!"

makes about 2 quarts or 16 - 4oz servings
