Love It Up X Mas Eggnog Recipe
This is the ole traditional favorite that I am sure most have been able to enjoy. If you haven't had the pleasure yet....... give it a whirl.

Ingredients
  • 3 eggs, separated (reserve whites)
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1 c. heavy cream
  • 1 T. sherry extract
  • Nutmeg, grated or ground

Directions
  1. Beat egg yolks
  2. Gradually add 1/2 of sugar and all the salt, beating constantly
  3. Gradually add milk first then the cream
  4. Cook over hot water, using a double boiler, until mixture coats spoon
  5. Remove from heat and cool
  6. Add sherry extract ; chill approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hours
  7. Beat egg whites until stiff while gradually adding remaining sugar
  8. Continue beating until stiff peaks form
  9. Fold into chilled custard
  10. When ready to serve, pour into a chilled punch bowl, sprinkle with nutmeg
  11. Nothing to do now but "LOVE IT UP!"
  12. makes about 2 quarts or 16 - 4oz servings
