Love It Up X Mas Eggnog

- 3 eggs, separated (reserve whites) shopping list
- 3/4 c. sugar shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 3 c. milk shopping list
- 1 c. heavy cream shopping list
- 1 T. sherry extract shopping list
- nutmeg, grated or ground shopping list
How to make it
- Beat egg yolks
- Gradually add 1/2 of sugar and all the salt, beating constantly
- Gradually add milk first then the cream
- Cook over hot water, using a double boiler, until mixture coats spoon
- Remove from heat and cool
- Add sherry extract ; chill approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hours
- Beat egg whites until stiff while gradually adding remaining sugar
- Continue beating until stiff peaks form
- Fold into chilled custard
- When ready to serve, pour into a chilled punch bowl, sprinkle with nutmeg
- Nothing to do now but "LOVE IT UP!"
- makes about 2 quarts or 16 - 4oz servings
