Holiday Angel FOOD Rum Trifle

- 1/2 cup rum shopping list
- 3/4 slivered almonds toasted shopping list
- 3/4 cup golden raisins shopping list
- 1-3 ounce package vanilla pudding mix (for cooking) shopping list
- 1/2 cup whipping cream, whipped shopping list
- 1-10 ounce loaf angel food cake, cut into 1/2-inch cubes shopping list
- 1/2 cup whipping cream shopping list
- slivered almonds, toasted (optional) shopping list
- Whole fresh strawberries (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Combine first 3 ingredients in a small bowl; let stand for 1 hour
- Prepare pudding mix according to package directions using 2-1/2 cups of milk; cool
- Fold whipped cream into pudding
- Layer 1/3 each of cake, raisin mixture, and pudding in a 3-1/2 quart glass bowl, or trifle dish
- Repeat layers twice, ending with pudding
- Cover and chill at least 3 hours
- Before serving, beat 1/2 cup whipping cream until soft peaks form
- Spread over trifle
- Garnish with toasted almonds (not soaked)
- Garnish with whole strawberries
- NOTE: Rather than the cooked pudding, instant pudding may be used, then add whipped cream as directed. This is delicious, and can be doubled for a larger dish. IT IS BEAUTIFUL AND DELICIOUS!
