Pie Crust 9-inch

- 1 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 4 tablespoons shortening shopping list
- 3 tablespoons iced water shopping list
How to make it
- This recipe makes a single pie crust for a 9-inch pie baking dish.
- Put the flour, salt and cut-up shortening into the processor bowl. have the iced water handy. Process the flour, salt , shortening mixture for about 5 seconds; then add the cold water through the chute while the processor is running. Process the dough until it gathers into a ball and then stop immediately. (about 15 seconds)
- Turn out the dough onto a floured surface for rolling and let the dough rest a few minutes before rolling out the crust and fitting into a 9-inch pie dish..

Great recipe! This is my regular pie crust recipe. It is the old stand-by, tried and true, flaky and wonderful, and I always use Crisco. However, I have posted some quick pie crust recipes to share with other cooks who do not like to "roll the dough...more
