Basic Crumb Crust Recipe
This is a quick and easy cheesecake crust made with crackers and seasoning to taste

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 Cups Graham Cracker Crumbs (or other cracker is desired)
  • 6 TBS Butter, Melted
  • 1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • (optional seasoning if desired)

Directions
  1. Using a blender or food processor, run the motor briefly until the crumbs are small and uniform (too much time turns crackers into dust and isn't good)
  2. Place the crumbs in a mixing bowl and add the butter and sugar and blend well.
  3. Press the crumb mixture onto the bottom and partly up the sides of a greased 9-inch baking dish, pie pan, or springform mold.
  4. Smooth the crumb mixture along the bottom to an even thickness.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes in a 350-degree oven and cool before filling.
