Cheesy Football Recipe

Cheesy Football Recipe
Football party fun. I suppose you could shape it anyway you'd like, but I use roasted red pepper strips to form "lacing" on the football shape!

Ingredients
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 12 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup Miracle Whip® dressing
  • 1/4 cup chopped scallions
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 ounces bacon bits, the "real" ones
  • Roasted red pepper strips, sliced thin to form "laces" on football
  • Ritz® crackers to serve

Directions
  1. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, cheddar cheese and Miracle Whip with an electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
  2. Add scallions and pepper.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Cover and refrigerate 6 hours. (Now, don't ask me why, but the flavor just gets better that way!)
  5. Place onto a serving platter and form into a football shape.
  6. Sprinkle evenly with the bacon bits.
  7. Use the roasted red pepper strips to form one long horizontal strip and then 4 laces vertically.
  8. Serve with Ritz® crackers and a knife to spread.
