Mavelous Maple Pecan Bars Recipe

Ingredients

CRUST:

1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter

1/2 c. sugar

1 egg yolk

1 1/2 cups.all-purpose flour

TOPPING:

3 eggs

3/4 c. sugar

3/4 c. pure maple syrup

1 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

CRUST

Cream butter and sugar until well-blended.

Add egg yolk and mix well.

Add flour and mix just until dough is formed.

Pat dough into a 9x13-inch pan, making a 1-inch border up the sides. Bake 15-18 minutes.

TOPPING

Whisk together thoroughly sugar and eggs.

Whisk in maple syrup.

Scatter pecans over crust

Pour syrup mixture over crust and scattered pecans

Bake 25-30 minutes until set.

Cool, cut into bars
