Buttermilk Pie With Blackberry Sauce

- 3 large eggs shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 tablespoons plain flour shopping list
- 1 stick unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled shopping list
- 1 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell shopping list
- Blackberry Sauce shopping list
- 1/2 cup seedless blackberry preserves shopping list
- 1 tablespoon Chamborde liqueur shopping list
How to make it
- Beat eggs slightly
- Mix sugar and flour well
- Add to eggs
- Mix only until creamy
- Add buttermilk and vanilla
- Bake 325 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour until custard is set
- SAUCE
- In saucepan whisk preserves, medium heat, stirring constantly
- until smooth
- Remove from heat, add Chamborde
- Let cool until lukewarm and serve over warm pie or pie at room temperature
- THIS IS A RARE TREAT WITH THE BLACKBERRY SAUCE!
