Plums with marsala

- 10 -12 ripe whole plums shopping list
- 600 ml marsala wine shopping list
- 1 vanilla pod whole shopping list
- 2 cinnamom sticks shopping list
- 70g golden caster sugar shopping list
- 2 teaspoons of arrowroot or cornflour to thicken shopping list
How to make it
- Put about 2 ripe plums per person in an oven proof bowl, with about 70g of light brown sugar, a good half bottle of Marsala Wine, 2 cinnamon sticks and a whole vanilla pod.
- Bake at 180c degrees for 40 minutes, then bring out of the oven.
- Using a slotted spoon, put the plums to one side in a bowl and pour the marsala/juice into a saucepan.
- With a bit of arrowroot or cornflour, thicken slightly and then put the plums back into the bowl, pour the sauce over it.
- heat for a further 10 minutes or so. The plums should be cooked with the skin starting to fall off them.
