How to make it

  • Put sliced baking potatoes in large glass bow with 1/2 c. hot water - Microwave on high for 4 minutes or until just fork tender.
  • Butter a casserole dish.
  • Melt butter and milk together in a saucepan. Add saucemix, marjoram and pepper, stir until dissolved and starting to thicken. Take off heat.
  • Pour some of the sauce mix into bottom of casserole.
  • Layer potatoes and sprinkle some shredded cheese.
  • Layer on slices of American Cheese.
  • Layer remaining potatoes on top.
  • Spinkle remaininf shredded cheese on top.
  • Pour remaining sauce mix to thoroughly coat potatoes.
  • Cover with foil and bake at 325* for 20 minutes until bubbly.
  • Remove foil and continue baking an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.
