Ingredients

1 ¼ cup rice uncooked (long grain regular)

2 tablespoons chopped onion (optional)

½ teaspoon salt

1 stick celery, chopped (optional)

2 cups water

1 (10 ounce) can cream of chicken soup

2 ½ or 3 pounds of chicken breast or pork chops

2 tablespoons butter, melted

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon paprika (optional)

Directions

Heat oven to 375 degrees. In a 9x13 inch baking pan combine first seven ingredients, mix well. Arrange meat on rice mixture skin side up. Drizzle with the butter. Sprinkle with salt and paprika. Bake uncovered for 1 hour.

For pork chops brown chops arrange on rice mixture and omit butter.

Makes 5 to 6 servings.
