How to make it

  • In a large saucepan or Dutch oven combine sausage, potatoes, onion, salt and a dash of pepper. Add 2 cups water and bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover. Simmer for 20 minutes for till potatoes are nearly tender.
  • Stir in cabbage, cook 10 minutes more or till vegetables are tender. Stir in 2 ½ cups milk. The remaining ½ cup milk stir into flour blend well and stir into soup.
