Ingredients
  • 1 pound fully cooked polish sausage, cut in ½ inch pieces
  • 2 pounds potatoes, peeled & chopped (2 cups)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 small head cabbage shredded (4 cups)
  • 3 cups milk
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese (4 ounces)
  • Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly. Stir in cheese till melted.
  • Makes 6 servings.

Directions
  1. In a large saucepan or Dutch oven combine sausage, potatoes, onion, salt and a dash of pepper. Add 2 cups water and bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover. Simmer for 20 minutes for till potatoes are nearly tender.
  2. Stir in cabbage, cook 10 minutes more or till vegetables are tender. Stir in 2 ½ cups milk. The remaining ½ cup milk stir into flour blend well and stir into soup.
