Easy Cheeseburger Casserole Recipe

Easy Cheeseburger Casserole Recipe
This is a very easy, inexpensive one-dish meal that the whole family loves, even my picky 2-year old. Great weeknight dinner, especially when you get home late from work

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. ground beef (I use chuck)
  • Minced onions
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 box Velveeta Shells & Cheese
  • 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Garlic pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Brown ground beef and minced onion in a skillet.
  2. Drain
  3. Return to skillet and add salt and garlic pepper to taste.
  4. Add both soups and continue to heat on low.
  5. While mixtue is simmering, boil shells in salted water.
  6. Drain pasta and add to meat and soup mixture.
  7. Spray 2-quart casserole with cooking spray and spoon combined mixture into casserole.
  8. Spread cheese sauce on top of mixture.
  9. If desired, add additional shredded cheddar cheese.
  10. Bake at 350 until bubbly.
  11. I like to raise the oven temp to broil for a few minutes which creates a nice crust on the casserole.

So with the box of shells and cheese, you don't mix the pasta with the velveeta cheese before you add it to the meat mixture, but you spread it on top later? This recipe looks very tasty, I just want to cook it right :)

Right, just cook the pasta and drain then mix the plain shells with the meat and soups. Use the cheese to top the casserole. I hope you enjoy it :)

My hubby loves shells and cheese. I will try this one. Sounds good and easy. Thanks
