How to make it

  • cook 1 cup of rice
  • in a pan,heat 1 table spoon of oil
  • add mustad seeds,bengalgram
  • when the seeds start to splutter, add green chillies and shredded curry leaves
  • after a minute, on low heat, add the coconut and salt
  • dont let the coconut brown at all
  • stir the coconut for about a minute
  • add the cooked rice
  • stir everything together, dont mash the rice
  • keep stirring for about 2 minutes
  • EAT ! with a nice chutney, some of my friends like this with steamed or fried fish
