How to make it

  • Heat a 6-8 qt. pot over medium-high heat.
  • Add just a little oil, and brown meat on all sides.
  • Add all ingredients but peas.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Cover, reduce heat and simmer for at least 30 minutes.
  • Add frozen peas the last 10 minutes of cooking.
  • I like to serve this with a nice crusty bread.
