Ingredients
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 8 quarts chicken stock
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried bay leaf
  • 6 ounces medium egg noodles; broken into 2 inch
  • 4 cups diced cooked chicken
  • 1 tablespoon minced parsley

Directions
  1. In large soup pot, saute celery and onion in butter until tender; add remaining ingredients except noodles and parsley. Bring to boil.
  2. Reduce heat. Simmer covered for 30 min.
  3. Remove bay leaf; add noodles and parsley.
  4. Cook 10 min longer or until noodles are tender, stirring occasionally.
