How to make it

  • Preheat oven to a hot 450 degrees.
  • Place the butter and the cream in a 3/4 cup custard cup.
  • Break the egg into the center.
  • Dot with cheese and use remaining cream on top.
  • Place in small square baking dish and fill it with boiling water, less than halfway.
  • Bake in oven for 7 to 10 minutes, til the egg reaches your level of desired doneness.
  • Serve sprinkled with herb of choice.
  • Bake a few slices of proscuitto on a slightly oiled baking sheet for the five minutes or so, to crisp but not burnt.
  • Eat and enjoy your fancy breakfast.
