This is the Funnel Cakes like at the Fairs, Powder Sugar Sprinkled over Fried bread.

Ingredients
  • Oil for frying (deep fryer, fry pan, or sauce pan)@ 2-3 cups
  • 1 1/2 Cups Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 3/4 Cup Powder Sugar

Directions
  1. In a large bowl Beat Eggs and Milk.
  2. Combine Flour, Baking Powder,Cinnamon,Salt.
  3. Stir Dry ingredients into Egg mixture until smooth.
  4. Cover Funnel hole with 1 hand, Pour in 1 cup of batter into oil.. starting from center in a swirling motion to make 6-7 inch round squigly designs.
  5. the thinner you keep your design the crisper it will be (this is not like pancakes).
  6. Fry both sides till golden brown(this goes very quick)
  7. Drain oil off
  8. Sprinkle with Powdered Sugar.
  9. Enjoy
  10. * For kids Spell their name or initials
  11. ** can use anything that will pour the batter in thin lines(spoon,cup)
