Buttons Dumplings Recipe
This is a cool recipe when you don't have can bisquits to make your dumplings and it is better any way. This is not my own recipe though. I found it in my 2008 farmers almanac it is a great cold out side winter dish to make.

Ingredients
  • 2 Cups of sifted flour
  • 4 Teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 Egg beaten
  • About a 1/2 Cup milk

Directions
  1. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together. Cut in butter. Stir in egg. Slowly add enough milk to create a moist, fairly stiff dough. Drop dough by tablespoonfulls into any broth of you choice. Cover and simmer until buttons are done.
