Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup oil/ghee
  • 1 large onion,finely sliced
  • 8-10 black peppers
  • 6-8 cloves
  • 3 large cardamoms
  • 2-3 small cardamoms
  • 500 g chicken
  • 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp ground coriander
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 10 almonds ,blanched and skin removed

Directions
  1. Heat oil in a saucepan.
  2. Add the onions and stir-fry until golden brown. Remove the onions from the pan, set aside.
  3. Blend fried onion and yogurt together.
  4. Add chicken,black pepper,cloves,cardamoms and ginger garlic paste to the oil and fry on a high flame till golden brown.
  5. Lower flame.Add onion and yogurt paste,coriander,red chilli and salt.
  6. Stir to mix well.
  7. Cook on medium heat and stir occasionaly till chicken is tender.
  8. Stir-fry till oil separates from gravy.
  9. Add cream and mix.
  10. Add garam masala,almonds and leave on low flame for 5 minutes,covered.
  11. Serve hot.

I feel lucky to get any cardamom at all, so I don't know what the difference is between the large and small which both occur here.
I'd love to try this one. Sounds wonderful.
